About Me

Hello! My name is Keith Westpy I study Fashion Design and Marketing at Brookdale Community College and live in Monmouth County, NJ.

I have a particular interest in sustainable fashion, sourcing second-hand materials for the majority of projects, and love Sashiko, which is a Japanese technique of mending clothes. I started my sewing journey with ripped jeans, patches, and safety pins, buying clothes from Goodwill to upcycle, and I have moved my way up to my whole first collection in 2026, which is still supported by the Isles of Thrift stores.

I am into so many things, some of which include concerts, reading, reselling, jewelry, clothing, and museum conservation. My career end goal is to work as a textile conservator in a museum outside of the US.

Some highlights I can make about myself are. I have participated in not 1 but 2 whole fashion shows at Brookdale, have helped run multiple fashion clubs and sustainability events also at Brookdale, and just got into FIT for the fall 2026 class in museum conservation.
